PACKING GASKET between wood beams
The product is intended for applying between beams in log buildings, ensuring filling of non-tight and uneven spots, creating hermetic construction. Packing gasket functions as unhardened sealant, it adheres well to a wooden surface and maintains ability to deform for unlimited time. The product is not dangerous for human health and is environmentally friendly.
Application: Packing gasket has to be applied on the lower beam where the joint with the upper beam is. The product has to be applied as a thin line by help of a special sealing syringe or spatula. Thickness of the line depends on smoothness of the beam to be joined – the smoother surface, the thinner the line may be. Before application, dust and dirt must be removed from surfaces joining the beams. It is not recommended to work when it is raining.
Safety measures: While working, a coverall and gloves have to be used. Collect unused sealant and dispose it in a closed container, do not dispose it in water reservoirs and soil. Clean the tools with white-spirit, wash the hands with warm water and soap.
Components: Linseed oil, poly-izobutilene, special additives and fillers.
